BIOETHICS TRAINING FOR STUDENTS OF ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE UNIVERSITY OF LIFE.

 

This project is a pedagogical proposal about bioethical education for university students at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso. Currently, bioethics is a science practiced in the West and in some parts of the East as well. The main objective of bioethics is to provide a link between life and and ethics. One of its objectives is

the training of students and professionals related to this scientific and practical occupation. In Chile, this science started to be practiced by the end of the 80s and beginning of the 90s. Bioethics constitutes a central component for students and professionals who work in the field of public health. Henceforth, the major bioethical institutions arefound in the Faculties of Medicine. However, we have also found that bioethcis is not part of other programmes which also deal with living organisms. Therefore, we propose to develop a project of bioethical training for undergraduate students of engineering and other programmes dealing with the sciences of life.

"Volkswagen, for Love to the Planet 2007"

 

The article deals with the recognition they did to Dr. Gerardo Ceballos Gonzalez in 2007. This recognition was the Award for Scientific Research in Biological Conservation of the "Volkswagen, for Love to the Planet 2007", which give 50 thousand dollars in cash, the most important stimulus for the recognition of environmental research in Mexico. His contribution was in the field of biodiversity and the development of conservation strategies in Mexico.

Approaches to Bioethics

 

The article is about human survival, according to Hans-Peter Durr where they play the theme of bioethics as part of the ecoethics, a position that would subscribe, in a way, because life counts as calculated by the most important scientists of the late twentieth century, some 3 billion eight hundred thousand years, could not have proceeded without the planetary precedence about 15 billion years, also sees science as constituted, although I would add that these calculations correspond to this level of scientific knowledge and therefore, always with a degree of relativism. Indeed, the mapping of the human genome tells a story of a man who repeats the story of life. On the planet, even in its waste is not explained.

Duties and happiness in ecoethics

 

The article does not intend to abandon the appeal necessary to ecoethics fear, but to supplement it with other more positive rhetoric, focusing on promoting positive emotions and the overall pursuit of happiness by the human being. Be argued that one of the challenges of making ecoethics is illustrated an ethic of happiness.
